DrawVerb Documentation

This is the first version of the docs hub. It covers the core workflow and gives you a structure to expand into full feature-by-feature documentation.

Quick Start

  1. Add DrawVerb to a track or bus.
  2. Pick a wall material and draw an enclosure.
  3. Place source and listener positions.
  4. Run the simulation and fine-tune post controls.

Core Concepts

  • Room shape controls reflection timing and density.
  • Wall materials drive absorption and tonal decay.
  • Source and listener placement affect perceived space and stereo image.
  • Post controls help finish a mix-ready reverb sound.

Planned Sections

  • Drawing tools and edit gestures
  • Material workflow and presets
  • Simulation tips and CPU behavior
  • Mixing recipes and troubleshooting

Workflow Overview

DrawVerb is designed around drawing first and tweaking second. Start from a simple shape, listen, then iterate with material and placement changes before touching post controls.

For natural spaces, keep geometry compact and use more absorbent materials. For creative effects, exaggerate boundaries and experiment with listener/source distance.

Control Reference (Starter)

Control Area Purpose Typical Use
Draw Tools Create and edit room boundaries Build geometry quickly before fine tuning
Material Selection Set wall reflection/absorption behavior Control brightness and decay character
Source/Listener Define acoustic relationship in the room Shape depth, timing, and space impression
Post Settings Final tonal and dynamic shaping Fit the reverb in context of a mix
